What is GET UP?
GET UP is an app that encourages you to walk for your screen time. Instead of unlimited scrolling by default, you unlock time on selected apps by walking.
How does GET UP work?
100 steps = 1 minute of screen time
Your movement is tracked using Apple Health
Earned time can be used on addictive social media apps or other apps you choose to restrict
The more you move, the more intentional your screen time becomes.
Who is GET UP for?
GET UP is for people who feel stuck in endless scrolling and want more control over their screen time. Doomscrolling has become an epidemic in today's world, harming people's sleep, focus, and ambitions through numbing, addictive algorithms. GET UP is for anyone who wants to escape the addictive cycle of doomscrolling and start living freely in the real world, instead of being trapped forever in a feed.

GET UP (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a digital wellbeing app designed to help users earn screen time through real-world movement. We are committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your data secure.
1. Information We Collect
GET UP collects only the minimum data needed for the app to function:
Apple Health Data
Step count (via Apple HealthKit)
This data is used only to calculate earned screen time.
Screen Time / App Usage Data
App usage categories selected by the user
App restriction settings configured by the user
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data only to:
Convert steps into earned screen time (100 steps = 1 minute)
Enforce app restrictions you configure
Display your progress inside the app (e.g., earned time, map progression)
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or resale.
3. Data Storage
All HealthKit data is processed on-device
GET UP does not sell or share personal data
We do not upload HealthKit data to external servers
If cloud features are introduced in the future, they will be optional and clearly disclosed.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
We only share data if:
Required by law
Necessary for app functionality explicitly requested by you (e.g., cloud sync in future versions)
5. Your Control
You are always in control of your data. You can:
Enable or disable Apple Health permissions at any time
Modify or remove app restrictions
Delete the app to remove all locally stored data
6. Security
We use system-level Apple frameworks (HealthKit and Screen Time APIs), which are designed with privacy and security in mind. We do not collect unnecessary personal information.
7. Children’s Privacy
GET UP is not intended for children under 13 without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate permissions.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Updates will be posted within the app or on the App Store listing.
