How do I scan a food item?
Open the app and tap on the plus button.
Tap "Scan Food"
Align the camera with the food item.
Snap a photo of your meal and the app will automatically detect and display calorie and nutritional information.
Save or edit the entry as needed.
Why isn't the scanner working?
Ensure your camera permissions are enabled in your device settings.
Make sure the lighting is sufficient for clear scanning.
Hold the camera steady and focus on the food or label.
If the issue persists, restart the app and try again.
How accurate is the calorie information?
Our app uses advanced AI to estimate calories, but results may vary based on lighting, packaging, and food composition. For precise tracking, verify with official nutritional sources when possible.
Can I manually enter food items?
Yes! Tap the plus button, then "Enter Custom Food", or if you don't see a correct match upon meal scan, tap the "Add Custom Food" option at the bottom and input the food details, including calories, macros, and serving size.

CalyPal - AI Calorie Tracker ("CalyPal," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Exsolia Labs LLC handles your information when you use the CalyPal mobile app.
1. Data Collection
CalyPal does not collect, store, or share any personal data. However, the app utilizes Google Vision API to analyze food images. Images you provide are sent to Google’s servers for processing and returned with results. We do not have access to or store any of this data.
2. Third-Party Services
CalyPal integrates with Google Vision API, which processes images externally. Google may collect data in accordance with its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We do not control or store any data processed by Google.
3. Permissions
CalyPal requests access to:
Camera & Photo Library: To allow users to capture or upload food images for calorie analysis.
These images are sent to Google Vision API for processing but are not stored by us.
4. Security
Since we do not store user data, your privacy remains under your control. However, images submitted for analysis are subject to Google’s data handling policies.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if necessary. Any changes will be reflected in the app, and continued use of CalyPal signifies your acceptance of the updated policy.
